Fawkes and Reece and working with a well established Main Contractor looking for the below:

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will establish and maintain sustainable relationships with both the supply chain and the client. Implement procedures to quantify, cost and value the works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement. Price works through Schedule of Rates, Short Schedule of Cost components and first principles. Understand and operate the NEC3/4 form of contract and Highways Specification. Produce and issue all commercial notices, to both the Client and Subcontractors, as required by the form of contract. Manage change in a timely manner in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations. Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications, to the Client, in accordance with the form of contract.

You will work closely with the project management and engineering teams to ensure the works are delivered to the commercial targets set. Although support from the companies head office will be given when required, the role will see you work independently. On that basis it will require a Senior Quantity Surveyor that is experienced in taking projects from inception through to completion. There are a number of changes on the project so one of the key commercial issues will be ensuring financial entitlement to works carried out.
