I am working with a highly successful school based in Great Missenden who are looking for a Caretaker to join the team.

You must be an excellent team player along with good communication skills, who is motivated and reliable. Someone with trade or care taking experience would be preferred.

As Caretaker, your day-to-day tasks will include:

Assist with the unlocking and securing of the buildings and sites as required.
Complete the reactive and planned maintenance tasks of the buildings and grounds, involving plumbing, carpentry, light replacement, furniture construction, drainage, decorating, cleaning, etc.
Take the lead in delivering small works and minor projects.
Setting up events and take down of furniture and equipment as required.
Liaise with staff as needed, letting them know approximate timings and any impact on their areas. Informing staff if work cannot be done and of any workarounds.The working weekly shift pattern 6:30am 0 2:30pm and 1:30pm – 9:30pm on a weekly rotation (including a 30min unpaid break). There may be some flexibility on start/finish times depending on school holiday dates and the lettings schedule to fit the 37 hour working pattern. There is also the possibility for extra hours for project work.

About You

Experience or skills in a trade
Worked in a similar environment
Competent basic building repairs and maintenance
Ability to perform the physical tasks required by the post including lifting, carrying and pushing various equipment to undertake the duties of the post
Safeguarding policies and procedures
