What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. Your job will be to plan, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on.
You will manage a variety of projects with a focus on our technology for partners, mostly with a technical focus. These will be managed using the appropriate methodology and will follow the priorities agreed with the CTO and Head of Programme as well as working within the boundaries of key partners.
Projects will be managed from inception and scoping phases through to their delivery and handover to BAU. Throughout you will work with the project team and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery through the management of communications, risks and issues and against the plan that you have defined and agreed.
In addition to the management of projects you will provide some project office support – specifically in relation to the workflow management, regular project reporting and benefits capture, measurement and realisation.
What key skills will you need?
Deep understanding of project methodologies – specifically Agile and Waterfall and the ability to apply them to deliver change
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to gain consensus across a project team and the wider business
Strong familiarity with project management tools and the ability to use them to support your role. Specifically planning and workflow tools
Experience of working in B2B as well as a D2C environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong team management skills and the ability to manage those who do not report directly to you
Strong analytic, planning and decision making abilities
Highly computer literate
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and the ability to tailor messages appropriately to your audience
What experience will you need?
Relevant degree and /or evidence of continuous professional development in an IT role
Experience in managing complex, large projects with a focus on delivery for partners and 3rd parties
People management experience and proven track record in leading change
Must have project management professional qualification and project management training / experience
Detailed understanding of Agile and Waterfall change methodologies
Demonstrable experience and evidence of success in business change with a strong technology focus with multiple stakeholder groups
Ability to manage outsourced providers against agreed deliverables
Managing multiple development teams against delivery plans
