Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Buyer based in Milton Keynes for a well-established manufacturing company.

Summary of the Buyer role…

Salary: Competitive with excellent benefits
Location: Milton Keynes
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: full-time Monday – Friday

The role…

As the Buyer your role will involve the following important duties:

Assist the Supply Chain Manager in the management of the company's supplier base, building long term relationships with high-quality suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Negotiate price and availability of raw materials including electronic components and other items.
Carry out material price benchmarking.
Analysis of supply V demand utilising MRP and other reports with particular. responsibility for non-electronic items and non-production items, ensuring stock availability of raw materials.
The experience required…

As a successful Buyer, you will have the following:

Experience as a buyer in an Engineering/Technical company.
Confident in handling orders for electronic components and other raw materials.
Good communication and negotiation skills
Able to adapt to change, self-motivate and think on your feet
Have 2-5 years' experience in a similar role
Ideally be CIPS level qualified or above
