A large internationally recognised civil engineering & geotechnical contractor are searching for a Senior Buyer to join their team.

Joining this business will see you working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK.

You will be joining a busy procurement team reporting into the Commercial Manager for a major project which is taking place in the Buckinghamshire area.

This project is a key piece to the UK's infrastructure and requires an astute Buyer who is able to multi-task to assist in keeping operations running smoothly.

You will be tasked with maintaining a close understanding of the material, plant hire and products markets.

Some more of your duties:

To be able to adapt quickly to programme requirements

Raising and managing orders

To keep hired plant location sheets updated regularly

Chasing scheduled deliveries by maintaining close contact with suppliers

Obtaining quotes and negotiating prices for goods

About you:

HNC/D or Degree

Previous buying experience within the construction industry
