A large internationally recognised civil engineering & geotechnical contractor are searching for a Buyer to join their team.

Joining this business will see you working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK.

You will be joining a busy procurement team reporting into the Commercial Manager for a major project which is taking place in the Buckinghamshire area.

This project is a key piece to the UK's infrastructure and requires an astute Buyer who is able to multi-task to assist in keeping operations running smoothly.

You will be tasked with maintaining a close understanding of the material, plant hire and products markets.

Some more of your duties:

Resolving any discrepancies with suppliers

Ensuring arrangements are in place to transport rig and equipment to/from sites

Raising and managing orders

Ensure deliveries are received on time

Conduct appraisals with potential suppliers and assess the quality from them

About you:

HNC/D or Degree qualified

Previous experience within construction purchasing environment

Knowledge of SAP
