We are recruiting for our Local Authority Partner for an exciting opportunity working on supporting Buckinghamshire Strategic Vison.
This role is managing the delivery of key partnerships and strategy development for Economic Growth and Regeneration. Working to the Head of Service for Strategy and Partnerships, this includes supporting the Bucks Growth Board in its programme, the development of strategy and policy documents aligned to directorate priorities, and other projects as needed.
You will be engaging with on building relationship with both internal and external partners
The role encompasses:
o The management of the Growth Board by setting out the terms of reference, direction, agenda and governance. To assure the success of the Growth Board through pre briefings of key stakeholders and partners, following due process and proactive forward planning. Prepare and present complex and sensitive reports and management information to internal/external decision-making bodies.
o The creation, agreement, adoption and implementation of the Bucks Strategic Vision across all Growth Board members and Partners. To monitor and report on the progress of the roll out of the vision and to continue partner and stakeholder engagement in the process.
o To identify and review opportunities for future investment funding which will support the priorities set out in the Growth Board Strategic vision. To respond to relevant investment opportunities by working collaboratively with Council and Growth Board partners to develop funding bids and propositions.
o To ensure effective and collaborative partnership working, both internally at the Council and externally with Growth Board partners and wider stakeholders, to deliver the Bucks Strategic Vision. Building positive relationships. To ensure the Growth Board is aware of the strategic priorities of its vast partner and stakeholder base and to be informed of emerging strategies/plans/opportunities for joint working.
o To proactively identify intelligence and key issues which need to be flagged and raised with senior management and where appropriate, the Growth Board. To ensure the service has a good understanding and knowledge of the key topic areas and priorities of EG&R, PG&S and the Growth Board as part of the data and intelligence gathering process.
o To lead the team, proactively developing professional knowledge, skills and behaviors and managing service budgets and performance. To demonstrate leadership through effective communication, stakeholder engagement and collaborative
o Working across teams, both within and external to the County Council in order to deliver service outcomes.
o Operating in a political environment, deputise for the Head of Service in S&P and assist the extended leadership team in the development and delivery of the Council Strategic vision
