Job Title: Front-end Developer
Location: Remote (plus travel to company events / meetings as required, if possible, not essential)
Line Manager: Director
Purpose
The Front-end Developer will help to create compelling and intuitive applications and front-end
experiences for a range of solutions across the existing software and new developments that are in the pipe-line.
Requirements
* Solid foundation in JavaScript.
* Experience consuming RESTful webservices.
* Knowledge of browser APIs (manifests, service worker & web push)
* CSS/SASS knowledge
* A knowledge of caching and understanding the Critical Rendering Path, metrics like TTFB, FMP
and FCP, and how application changes can impact them.
* Source control and collaboration through pull requests with git and GitHub.
* Strong experience and confidence with front-end HTML, CSS/SASS and JavaScript, Angular 7+, Typescript.
* Good Understanding of web browsers & mobile device differences and considerations for these.
* Academic background in computer science or software engineering would be good not essential
* Excellent team-working, communication and attention-to-detail skills.
* Other experience but not essentials
* Experience with an app framework (Angular, Note JS, React etc.).
* Experience of architecting, building and deploying to different environments

* Carry out front-end development and design activities on existing apps
* Maintain and improve Business Rules
* From time-to-time working from supplied designs – producing something that's accessible, portable and easy to maintain will always win.
* Maintain and improve system and technical documentation.
* Work with other developers in Agile teams to create new features and functionality.
* Follow best practices to ensure stability and security of company systems.
* Suggesting front-end process and technical improvements
* Learn and improve skills using new web techniques and technologies.

* Support the business in delivering it's key objects by ensuring code, software and applications
are issue free and meet acceptance criteria when building and releasing.
* Support the business and department by improving process and enhancing efficiencies
