SENDhelp are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our partner school and become a valued member of their SEN team. You will work closely within their most vulnerable children and works towards increasing their independence and confidence.
Located in Aylesbury, this special needs school caters for children between the ages of 11 – 16 and provides an up to date, personal centred approach to their learning. Your new school not only provides the mandatory core subjects, but also focuses on PSD (Personal and Social Development) of pupils. Enabling students to master basic skills and work towards a greater sense of independence. Each child receives a comprehensive and tailored education plan designed to better influence their learning.
Your new school also includes a range of theory sessions, which all students can access to support their growth and development. Therapy teams form an integral part of the school's learning curriculum and comprise of one qualified speech and language therapist, as well as occupational therapist. They each work with the children on a personal level to better support their learning needs.
To ensure that out partner school can deliver effective care to each pupils, they are offering the chance for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work as part of their growing team.
This role is for a Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day basis. You will be covering sick days and maternity leave, so you will be expected to be flexible and be available at short notice.
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Be looking to for casual works and be available at short notice.
Have previous experience working in a special needs school
Have a desire to work with SEN pupils and be willing to interact in classroom activities
Have an enhance DBS on the update service
