We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join us at our service, Kent House in Aylesbury.

Located in Aylesbury, Kent House is a specialist residential centre providing continuing rehabilitation and specialist care and support for people with acquired brain injury (ABI). It forms part of the nationwide network of rehabilitation support services provided by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT).

The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play an integral part of the team supporting our Service Users and their families. Demonstrating compassion and a willingness to make a difference to the lives of the individuals you support, you will actively promote independence, dignity and positively enhance the lives of the Trust’s Service Users.
Main duties will include:
* Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each service user.
* Participate in the development of service user/s support plans, risk assessments and programmes, complete written records as necessary and in accordance with the guidelines provided.
* Providing care and support for our service users when conducting daily tasks
* Provide personal care as and when required
* Participate in the development of service users support plans, risk assessments and programmes
* Accompany service users in activities and visits as and when required
Skills/Experience required:
* Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Good IT skills
* Good time management
* Ability to prioritise own workload
* Patience and resilience
