JOB TITLE: Production Team Leader
JOB LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HOURLY PAY RATE: £25 ph Umbrella
SHIFTS: Days and Nights
HOURS PER WEEK: 50-60 average
DURATION: Ongoing
START DATE: ASAP
The Team Leader will be required to provide both technical support and team leadership and will report to the Area Manager within the "Crash Damage Area" of the business.
Responsibilities
*Continue to be a working member of the team, whilst undertaking supervisory and leadership tasks.
*Ensure all staff are given clear daily targets and production objectives.
*Ensure production control processes are adhered to and all required documentation is completed daily.
*Create standard work production plans and update progress daily in preparation for the daily production meetings.
*With support from Engineering, identify material lists for all repairs
*Lead by example and promote a healthy environmental and health and safety culture for the production team.
*Conduct deviation safety tours and toolbox talks.
*Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives
*Create good working relationship with all project stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the projects. Monitoring the scope of repair and identifying any additional work and opportunities through standard work.
*Hold daily VIS morning meetings with corrosion squad to discuss plans, improvements and progression
*Ensure all welding work is carried out to correct procedures and to specification
*Competent user of SAP and TMS
The Team Leader will be required to provide production support to the Project Team by compilation of Scope of Work, allocation of work hours, facilitating with process techniques and methodology to support future bids.
The Team Leader will develop strong relationships with senior leaders across site to promote On Time Delivery of Projects providing a professional approach to customers, gaining credibility and respect.
Educational Requirements & Relating Experience
*Basic high school education
*NVQ Level 3 or higher
*IOSH Managing safely training strongly recommended
*Strong minded individual with moral integrity
*Experience in managing progress through production plans
*Min 2 years' experience in a leadership capacity
*Proficient in TMS & SAP
*Organisation, Communication, Influencing and decision-making skills
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
*Formal leadership training is advantageous
*Ability to think on their feet and positively respond to change
