Our client operates within the professional services environment and has a permanent vacancy for a HR Business Partner. The HR team provide the Firm with support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, development, culture and engagement, reward and exits. You will
manage and assist the operational and strategic HR activity across the business in relation to the full HR remit. Providing support and challenge to managers, ensuring that they are complying with best
practice and ensuring our culture is in line with business values and behaviours.
You will support the Head of HR, the wider HR team, Partners and staff with day-to-day operational and longer term strategic people lifecycle activity.
Partnerships
Build strong and trusted relationships with Partners and Managers, understanding the psychology of human behaviour and business analytics to enable and challenge them to make informed and sound
decisions
Uses sound business acumen, knowledge of business models, financial literacy, strategic planning and supplier management to make and encourage in others, sound business operating decisions
Using knowledge of HR trends and people analytics to inform, develop and implement people processes, policies and procedures that align to the business objectives
Challenges the status quo, bringing external perspectives and best practice to provide solutions focused ideas and recommendations
Advise and coach managers, enabling them to build their own people management capabilities, encourage a culture of trust, people development and wellbeing, enabling all of our people to be at their best at work

Employee engagement
Thorough understanding of organisational culture and behaviour and their impact on people practices and policies, ensures our people policies and procedures are aligned to our strategy and objectives
Use of staff surveys and people analytics to gain employee feedback, drive actions and inform developments in all people and culture activities, ensuring we are making the most of feedback and recommendations from external accreditors to enhance and improve employee engagement
Assist and support the Head of HR in implementing strategic engagement activities and in improving the culture of the firm and employee communication
Works collaboratively and inclusively, encouraging and facilitating cross-location working, building high trust relationships and managing conflicts constructively
In collaboration with the wider team and partners, develop a suite of development workshops to up-skill line managers and leaders in people management and engagement
Operational HR activity
Advising and assisting managers with employee relations, absence management, performance management, benefits administration, flexible working, leaver administration and other day to day HR activity, ensuring the correct application of the law, policies and procedures
Co-ordinate salary and benefits review processes and administration including carrying out benchmarking of salaries, benefits and policies as necessary and making considered recommendations
Lead on ISO reaccreditations and/or the obtaining of comparable accreditations
Maintain policies, procedures and staff handbook
Responsible for trainee recruitment and on boarding in respect of; social media, vacation placements, apprentice and apprentice levy, assessment centres and internship programmes. Builds strong relationships with universities, schools, law schools and other external organisations to assist with trainee pipeline and liaising closely with the Training Partner on all aspects of trainee activity
Keeping up to date on developments with legal training and ensuring that we adapt our programmes accordingly
Support the business in all performance activity; ensuring legal compliance and best practices are applied throughout. Research and propose learning programmes to support the personal and team development of fee and non-fee earners. Effective management of leadership and management development programmes
Advocating and managing mentoring and coaching programmes to assist and support peoples personal development
Assisting the Human Resources Administrator in all aspects of the Learning Management System, ensuring it is fit for purpose and receives buy-in from end users
Additional
Development of HRIS systems to include SelectHR, ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Document management and Performance management systems
Support the Head of HR to research, develop and implement best in class HR practices
Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the goals of the business
Travel to other offices to ensure consistency of the HR Service across all locations
Requirements
Qualified to degree level or equivalent
CIPD accreditation to at least Chartered Associate level
Coaching qualification (preferable)
Knowledge of employment law
Experience in at least some of the following: inclusion and diversity, learning and development, organisation development and design, people analytics, reward, talent management.
Previous experience of working in HR business partnering environment (preferable)
