Our client is recruiting for an experienced General Manager to run their High-end County Pub/Restaurant in Bedfordshire. Reporting to the owners you with have overall responsibility for the efficient management of the business.
This Award-Winning Country Pub/Restaurant has bedrooms onsite and a Private Function room for holding events.
The Role:
We are looking for someone who has the experience, knowledge track record of managing a similar establishment.
Your responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the day to day running of the Restaurant and all aspects of food and drinks service
* Oversee the Housekeeping and Bedroom reservations
* Manager to ensure all departments and team members comply with health & safety, food hygiene and alcohol licensing regulations at all times
* Ensuring a smooth, efficient service is maintained and that the product provided is to the required standard
* Take reservations and ensure all bookings are communicated through the team.
* Help build and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards the objectives of the business
* Ensure the efficient flow of service and standards are constantly met during service
* Act as a role model to all employees by showing a positive approach to team morale through excellent support, training and communication
* Ensure the restaurant is maintaining its agreed level of operating performance at all times
* Place beverage orders and ensure all stock is stored away correctly.

* £37,000 – £42,000 DOE, 45hr Contract
* Rota/Shift work – 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends.
* Christmas Period Off – close from Christmas Day (inclusive) until 1st week of January.
