Key Job Responsibilities 
Process requests in an effective and timely manner 
Review RFS requests and confirm requests are clear before sending on for action.
3D CAD modelling 
Testing work and report writing.
Working with designers to create concept designs to meet customer’s request. 

Key Goals For Success
Meet the targets set by manager
Processing enquiries clearly.
Preparing designs in an efficient manner with minimal drawing errors.

Performance Measures
3-day processing time: measured using checks for reasons for delay.

Key Relationships To Be Engaged In
With design group leader as a 1st step, then manager.
Interacts with other company subsidiaries
Challenges
Understanding company processes and the multitude of products responsible for.
Describe the working environment (pressures/pace/autonomy/support etc)
Workload is dependent on projects issued by subsidiaries.
Other Engineers and Group Leader are available for guidance and support, Autonomy will follow after successful period of working under guidance.
Aspects Of The Job
Engineering product, application and design experience, customer visits UK and abroad.

Growth depends on product knowledge and ability, but more complex projects will be assigned with proven ability on easier tasks. Opportunity to spend time in the design team learning design and cost estimation skills.

Person Specification Required:
• Mechanical Engineering degree 2:1 or better preferred
• Experience of managing small projects
• Experience of working in a design environment
• Experience in writing technical reports
• Experience of engineering documentation creation
• Experience of working with customers or suppliers
• Ability to work as part of a multicultural team
• Able to travel to European customers when required
• PC skills: minimum MS Word and Excel
• Excellent spoken and written English Desirable:
• Experience is a volume manufacturing company
• Experience in design of machined parts
• Knowledge of CE and related standards
