The FTTH Build Manager will head up a build team of Supervisors and fibre OH/UG teams to deliver a programme of FTTh works across the Buckinghamshire/ Oxfordshire/Wiltshire fibre network. You will support the Head of Projects and associated internal stakeholder functions where appropriate to improve operational processes, develop quality plans and demonstrate leadership skills for achieving quality excellence in the field and ensuring all programme and delivery dates are met on time as per the accepted programmes submitted to the customer.
The key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
Overseeing all Installation activities and build supervision to ensure that design, delivery, quality, financial control, and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery
Strong understanding of contractual requirements and commitments
Health, safety, and quality leadership
Manage customer/contractor expectations within the context of contractual specifications
Ensuring that the key deliverables within each stage of the programmes are being administered to the highest quality of the specifications provided by the customer
Responsible for planning of resource, plant and material requirements
Ensuring proper interpretation of the design drawings and plans are established, and the delivered solutions always meet and exceed the expectations of the client
Qualifications
-Proven industry experience and / or 3rd Level degree with focus on engineering
-Full clean driving licence
Experience
Delivery of O/H and U/G FTTh infrastructure
Telecoms Industry knowledge and Street Works experience is essential
Thorough understanding of UG and OH deployment on the Openreach PIA is essential
Commercial and contractual management
Coaching and development of direct reports
Working knowledge of Planning, Design, Build and Operations phases of fibre infrastructure rollout
Working knowledge of council permitting processes
