Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Card Reader Configurator based in Olney for a global leading key and asset management company.
Summary of the Card Reader Configurator role…
Salary: £20,000 – £23,000 per annum.
Location: Olney
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
The role…
As the Card Reader Configurator your role will involve the following important duties:
* Work with UK project managers and international distributors to ensure the correct data, card readers and sample cards are obtained to allow the company products to be configured to read the required information from the cards.
* Document all information regarding the card reader configuration and settings, including the status of the job, configuration file and any specific instructions for the mounting, wiring and/or test of the reader.
* Where necessary source and purchase card readers based upon customer specification.
* Provide telephone and office-based support for customer queries regarding readers.
* Clarify orders with the relevant parties in order to ensure detail is correct prior to preparation of build sheets. Following up on any errors or missing information with the relevant party,
* Process spares orders for readers, including preparing/drilling the reader plate and mounting the reader in position, including prepping and fitting of the cables.
The experience required…
As a successful Card Reader Configurator, you will have the following:
* Excellent organisational skills and capable to work under pressure.
* Strong PC skills and problem solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and great at working as part of a team.
* Comfortable talking on the phone and discussing card readers with customers from the UK and worldwide.
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience working with MRP systems, Microsoft AX and SAP.
* Knowledge in Jira is advantageous but not essential.
