CK Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative to join a chemicals manufacturing and distribution company at their site based in Aylesbury on a full time, permanent basis. This role will involve travelling UK-wide as well abroad, and being present at the company site 2 days each week.
The Company:
Our client specialises in supplying raw materials. They now have a need for a Technical Sales Representative to join the UK sales team. The Sales team maintain excellent relationships with customers, developing new business and giving technical support to customers’ R&D departments. This role will be based out of the Aylesbury head office with frequent travel in the UK and overseas. There is great scope for creativity and personal development within this role, and you will be supported by extensive training on products, a fully equipped laboratory, enthusiastic and supportive colleagues, and outside training where required. This role is essential in enabling the company to continue to provide customers and suppliers with excellence in innovation and customer service. The successful candidate will benefit from the exciting opportunities and on-going career development on offer. The company offers excellent customer service and so exceptional English communication skills are essential, and any Polish communication skills would be advantageous. Location:
This Technical Sales Representative role is located in Aylesbury, commutable by road from surrounding areas including Oxford, Milton Keynes, London and more. Please note a valid UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
Your main duties will be:
• Developing strong technical understanding of the wide range of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.
• Understanding the needs of each of the company's customers.
• Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely.
• Supporting customers throughout their development process, from concept to product launch.
• Visiting UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.
• Maintaining existing business and creating new opportunities with customers in your portfolio
• Helping our Technical Development Chemists to create new Personal Care formulations that demonstrate the benefits of our products.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Attending relevant Cosmetic and Toiletry industry meetings, seminars, exhibitions and symposia to increase knowledge of the Personal Care industry.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
• Degree qualified or equivalent in a scientific subject e.g. chemistry, biology, formulation and cosmetic science etc. – essential
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• The ability and aspiration to travel – essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – any Polish language skills would be advantageous
• Any prior sales experience would be beneficial
• The ability to learn and understand new technologies
• A scientific approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure
• Enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated
• Flexible and customer service orientated
• Thorough, organised and autonomous
