Consultancy / Building Services / Public Health Engineer
This highly regarded consultancy provides quality Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Environmental engineering solutions to a broad range of projects. Projects range from large new-builds, renovations and fit-outs, to bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings. The range of work is wide covering all sectors including commercial, education, residential and health care.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop and progress as an engineer, you will receive mentoring from directors who are directly involved in project delivery and management.
Working as part of a team
* Public Health design including but not limited to sanitary plumbing systems, hot and cold domestic water design, below ground drainage systems, surface water drainage systems, septic tank installations, basement membrane drainage systems, pumped drainage installations
* Preparation and development of concept, feasibility and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, calculations
* Fully proficient in AutoCAD 2D with either some knowledge of the use of Revit or the desire to learn
* MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
* Good communication skills required and be able to attend meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractors
* Strong technical expertise within mechanical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor
* Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance
Qualifications / Skills: Knowledge and Experience
* Minimum 4 years’ Public Health services design experience (less if a Junior Engineer)
* Organised
* Self-motivating
* Personable and be able to work part of a team
