We have an exciting opportunity for a Meetings and Events Operations Manager, who will be streamlining the team to deliver personalised conference and special events services. You will have good knowledge of managing all types and sizes of meetings and events, also having a passion for fresh, quality food; aspire to provide excellent levels of service to lead the Meetings & Events Operations department.

You can be a supervisor or an assistant manager looking to rise to the next level in their career and be the next manager to lead the team.

The role as a Meetings and Events Operations Manager:

* Managing a team to deliver events on a day to day basis.

* Conveying business meetings, weddings, special events on the day to guests.

* Making sure the event and conference rooms are always providing high standards of service.

* Take advantage of any opportunity to upsell services at meetings and events.

* Developing and observing training and development strategies.

* Completing performance reviews for direct reports, including the setting and review of objectives, motivating, coaching & team building.

* Understanding of financial budgets and achieving sales revenue targets.

What we need from you:

* A minimum of 2 years in a similar role. Even if you are in a supervisor or in a junior management position within a hotel.

* Experience in organising and supervising weddings ideally within a hotel setting.

* Supervising a team which will include both full time and temporary staff.

* Ability to provide excellent customer service to the guests to ensure events run smoothly.

* Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others.

* Good presentation with excellent interpersonal skills, a professional manner and excellent level of written & spoken English with good IT skills

As a Meetings and Events Operations Manager you will be working on a rota basis working 5 days out of 7 within the week which can include mornings or evenings. You will be based in Gerrards Cross.
