Our client is a relatively young, small main contractor that also take on their own developments. Typical projects range from one off bespoke new build residential properties up to 20 traditionally built houses.
They are looking for a Design Coordinator/Manager to join their team to be based out of their head office in Newbury, Berkshire. Typical projects that you will be involved in are mentioned above.
Responsibilities for the role are as follows:
Keeping up to date tracking docs,
Liaising building control, NHBC and external consultants.
Completing design compliance reports and inspections
Participating in design meetings,
Overseeing the appointment of subcontractors
Managing the design for each project in general
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria of previous experience:
Contractor experience of at least 4 years
Knowledge of main forms of construction technologies
Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; Inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
Ensuring project team(s) understanding of drawings and design specifications.
Ability to use and navigate design package software.
