We are a bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturer currently seeking an experienced Installations Manager to lead and drive the installation of bespoke, high-end joinery projects and support Project Managers to oversee the successful completion of the install package.
Main Objective: To lead and manage a team of 8 employed fitters, as well as subcontractors where required, who will travel each day to site location, and monitor progress.
*Local person preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
* Travel to site to construct site surveys in aid of the design proposal stage of the tendering process, as well as, to consult with workshop foreman for the purpose of the manufacturing of items.
* Liaise with MD and Project Managers to communicate any complications on site, or potential delays to installations scheduled.
* Liaise with workshop foreman and internal workshop departments to ensure items are ready and packed with all components and fixtures, ready for next day installations.
* Attend and conduct site inductions, with RAMS sign off, as well as Onsite Toolbox talks for each project.
* Liaise with Project Managers to schedule staffing for jobs won.
* Utilize staff, delegate tasks scheduled and arrange talent to best suit requirements of items to be installed.
* Qualitative face fit test on all fitters and record.
* Daily briefings to your team, explain what is required of them, report any concerns, record, and feedback to project PM.
* Travel to and observe operation across multiple sites, ensuring good health and safety practice, operative or client.
* Assist the company by monitoring progress of fitters onsite, providing feedback for PMs to record, e.g., Reason for site delays so cost implications can be noted.
* Coordinate, arrange, schedule snag works to be done to align to agreement with client.
* Liaise and coordinate staffing requirements with good time.

Essential requirements:
* Strong Joinery/ Cabinet making background
* Fluent with 2D AutoCAD drawings
* Excellent level of English Language
* Holds a Full Clean UK Driving License
