Permanent

Location: Gateshead

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000

Buyer – Beauty and Cleaning

Main Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining a varied product range, ensuring all customer's needs are catered for with competitive pricing and promotional offers
Ensuring customers have a broad choice of products displaying various ethical criteria
Setting pricing structures in line with market competitors and forecasting on sales and profitability
Negotiating with suppliers and agreeing trading terms
Being aware of current market trends, buying patterns, competitors and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Continuously reviewing units sold and react accordingly, running promotions and introducing fresh product lines
Attending Networking events to promote the brand and source new suppliers to work with
Assisting with producing the company’s catalogue, confirming all products are visible and listed correctly
Supporting the Buying Administration team and updating documentation both manually and electronically
Experience and Skills required

Minimum of 3 year's previous experience in a Buying role
Previous experience working within an E-commerce business is advantageous but not essential
Commercially aware and able to work from own initiative with little supervision
Business minded, driven to hit targets with excellent communication skills
Methodical with strong planning and organisational skills and sound knowledge of IT packages such as Microsoft.
