Regional Environmental Manager

Buckinghamshire

Regional Environmental Manager required for a business of which are investing heavily into Energy from Waste sites in the UK and a global leader in the sector. They are looking to employ a Regional Environmental Manager who will be responsible for environment permit and policy compliance and develop the Environmental Management Systems to accredited standards. The role will require a vast understanding of all legislation and regulation within the Waste to Energy sector. The Regional Environmental Manager must be a highly skilled communicator and influencer for all internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities follow:

Ensuring compliance with BS 14181: 2014 Stationary Source Emissions, quality assurance of automated CEMS
Form and collate all management reports submitting quarterly and annual emission reports, pollution inventory and waste returns
POC for the environment agency building and forming relationships
Ensuring all lines in the plant are compliant to relevant standards and guidelines
Develop and maintain all site environment and energy management procedures
Working with the Ops team ensuring the facility operates within the environmental permit conditions and legislation and guidelines are followed
Work with the maintenance teams to ensure the CEMS equipment are appropriately maintained and serviced
Manage environmental incident investigations
Lead for the facilities environment performance improvement and sustainability processes
Keep track and show involvement in latest government and national environmental information and campaigns
Develop and deliver environmental training for permanent and contract staff

The correct individual will need 5 years + experience of environmental management in the energy from waste sector and preferably have a degree in a relevant environmental subject.
