The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be the founding member of Silverbug's security consulting team. You will be involved in the design and delivery of a brand-new portfolio of security services. You will be a key member of Silverbug driving the growth of security function.
As a Security Consultant you will be a very competent and skilled security expert rated highly within the business. This role will see you working closely with both the Business Development and Professional Services teams. Comfortable in pre and post sales engagements you will be working in a very customer facing role. You will be comfortable discussing complex security matters with technical and non-technical stakeholders both internally and with our customers.
You will be required to deliver a number of different security services to customers including but not limited to penetration testing, cyber essentials certifications, incident response, architecture advice, data loss prevention and security roadmaps.
In addition, but no less important, documentation before and after implementation of solutions must be extremely meticulous ensuring support is as streamlined as possible post deployment.
Key Duties:
To ensure smooth deployment of all security solutions
Working with internal departments and 3rd parties to define project scopes, design solutions and deliver those solutions to the business
To effectively implement security services projects in line with business needs
Leading the development and adoption of security best practices
To support the Business Development Team in designing proposals in line with customer requirements
To work with the Business Development Team to review security related proposals to continuously improve the company's offering
To carry out security audits of customers and produce professional roadmaps and reports as an output
To keep Senior Management Team informed of new technologies to support service and product solutions helping to maintain the Company's competitive edge
Identifying possible security threats and determining the best security measures
Suggesting improvements to existing security systems
Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technology
Training staff to recognize and defend against security breaches and risksIn addition, but no less important, documentation before and after implementation of solutions must be extremely meticulous ensuring support is as streamlined as possible post deployment.

About you:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in security consultancy role or similar
Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
A highly logical, honest, and objective nature
Good teamwork and time management skills
Excellent technical skills for building security architecture aligned with the business's requirements
In-depth experience in delivering and supporting security solutions.
Must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of penetration testing
Must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of security best practices, methodologies and techniques
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of documentation including architecture topologies, proposals and roadmaps
Great communication skills and the ability to present technical jargon in an understandable way
Must have in-depth knowledge of major incident response processes
Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and evenings when necessary
Must have a thirst to learn and branch out into other complimentary offerings such as PCI-DSS, user awareness training, data loss prevention and GDPR
Although not essential CISM or CISSP certified would be highly desirableBenefits:
