Junior Lab Technician (FTC)

This opportunity is open to both undergraduates (sandwich year students) as well as graduates looking for their first role in the flavouring industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assists the flavourists and fellow laboratory technicians in developing seasonings and flavours.

* Follow seasoning formulae, weighing out flavours and raw materials with precise accuracy before blending to create seasoning.

* Application of seasonings and flavour samples to base, including (but not limited to) popcorn, potato and tortilla chips.

* Build knowledge of raw materials.

* Daily housekeeping of the laboratories.

* Weekly calibration of balances in Seasoning and Application laboratories.

* Maintenance of raw material, base and consumable stock, including re-stock and correct disposal of materials.

* Work under the guidance of the Head of Creation, Senior Flavourist and Flavourists on projects.
