A global bank with its Corporate and Commercial Banking division operating from a number of regional business banking centres across the United Kingdom is looking for a Project Manager to support the data and technology function initiatives. This is a 4-month contract role and offers remote working.
As a Project Manager you will:
Manage and direct the project team and any matrix / extended delivery team, providing clear objectives and tasks in support of delivery of the agreed business case
Create a positive environment within the team, fostering new ideas and valuing team and stakeholder contributions
Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment
Drive the focus on effective and timely delivery of projects, with specific challenge and quality assurance of plans, critical path management, status reporting, resourcing, and budget and dependency management
Present your findings on proposed solutions to complex operational and processing problems and makes recommendations to senior management.
Manage cross-functional teams, setting tasks and objectives and delivering formal appraisals as required
The successful Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a project management role
Have a strong understanding of PM methodologies and best practices, including business cases, project planning, stakeholder mapping and comms plans and risk and issue management
Experience working in an Agile environment
Be comfortable with the technology
Experience managing third parties
A background working in a banking, financial services, financial crime, CDD (customer due diligence), KYC (know your customer) and/or remediation programmes background
In return, you will receive a pay rate of £550 per day Inside IR35.
