Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Human Resources Officer/Advisor. You will administer the payroll and provide HR support for head office. This is an ideal role to develop your HR career as this is a standalone role. The ideal candidate will be Level 3 CIPD qualified or studying towards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accurately administer the weekly and monthly payroll, acting as the interface with the external Payroll Bureau and liaising with the Finance Department.
* Provide a proactive advisory service in line with Company policies, legislative requirements and best practice.
* Ensure up to date HR policy and procedures in line with current legislation and ensure that this is communicated and adhered to throughout the business.
* Support and coach line managers on employee relations issues and processes.
* Coordinating recruitment and selection activities to include liaising with external agencies, conducting interviews, preparation of job profiles, etc.
* Coordinating the onboarding of new employees, preparing offer letters, contracts and induction programmes, applying for references, etc.
* Implement all required administration and communication for the employee lifecycle, including accurate and timely maintenance of all HR Systems and records.
* Record and provide HR management information, providing information and statistics to the Finance Director and senior management team as and when required.
* Monitoring absences and supporting managers when required.
* Assist the UK Operations Manager with administrative support for the Company’s Health and Safety Plan.
* Administration of Pension, Healthcare, Long Term Disability and Life Assurance Schemes.
* Administrative support to the senior management team as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience within a HR Team essential.
* CIPD or equivalent HR qualification preferred.
* Previous payroll experience ideal.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
