Role: Lead Consultant – Food and Beverages Procurement
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40-55k
Are you an experienced Procurement Manager and do you enjoy leading strategic change projects? Do you have experience of working within the food and beverages industry?
We have worked with some of the UK's biggest and most prestigious brands in the Food industry to optimise and improve their procurement performance. The business has grown considerably, doubling in size over the past 5 years with ambitious plans to continue this high level of growth over the next 5 years.
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager, with huge potential for further development within the business, to lead procurement and supply chain projects for our clients. If you have excellent communication skills and are able to organise workload efficiently, then this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
Lead the project team consisting of buyers and analysts to support the delivery of projects
Ensure strong communication both internally and externally with the client and Suppliers
Develop and coach members of the buying team
Take accountability for client projects, ensuring the scope, deliverables, project plan and risks are managed to ensure timely delivery of work
Work with the client stakeholders (typically up to C-level) to ensure agreed business (procurement) requirements and objectives are met
Skills and experience:
Experience in senior procurement and category management roles within the food industry;
Previous experience of excellent stakeholder management at a senior level up to CEO;
Demonstrates a good understanding of complex supply chain models ideally within the foodservice industry;
Experience of managing and leading projects and project teams through to completion;
Excellent level of IT competence including Microsoft Windows Software such as Excel;
High level of numeracy and an analytical approach;
Strong financial and commercial acumen and attention to detail;
Ability to influence;
Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
Strong negotiator and the ability to communicate at all levels.
