Customer Service Assistant
£21k – £23k DOE
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Buckingham
Our client is looking for a committed and motivated Customer Service Assistant to provide outstanding levels of service to all their valued customers. They would ideally like to find a highly organised and adaptable individual who strives to deliver satisfactory resolutions in a timely and efficient manner. This role is based at their offices in Buckingham.
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be expected to:
Confidently deal with a high volume of calls and emails.
Effectively prioritise workload, juggling multiple things at once.
Action communications with customers that have exceeded their credit limit.
Allocate payments received to the corresponding invoices.
Support the Customer Service Team in the reduction of email response times within SLA.
Listen to, question, and interpret the needs of the customer and respond accordingly.
Use own initiative to resolve queries or escalate when appropriate.
Open new accounts and take payments, whilst complying with GDRP legislation.
Process orders and arrange refunds and exchanges.
Ensure all records are accurately maintained.
Develop product knowledge to be able to offer alternatives where applicable.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to support customer relations.
Confidently use various computer programs and telephone systems.
Be comfortable working towards KPI's.
You will ideally have:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
Resilience – a proven ability to work under pressure.
The ability to build effective and beneficial relationships with internal and external parties.
Excellent problem-solving ability and a desire to take ownership.
Initiative – prepared to 'think outside of the box' to find solutions.
Adaptability to work independently as well as with other members of the team.
Willingness to work to set targets and tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and working with finance programs.
Able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational skills.
Flexibility – to occasionally work overtime according to the business demands.
