Job title: Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Nurse

Grade: Band 7

Location:, Milton Keynes

Hours: Ad-hoc basis, choice of shifts but need to be flexible

Salary: Negotiable rates of pay

Shifts will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

The CPN will be required to assess, plan and provide appropriate interventions using evidenced based models of care to patients presenting in the perinatal period with mental health needs. (up to 24 months post partum) – They will offer advice and consultation on clients mental health needs to colleagues and to other non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures – They will need to be part of a duty rota and will also hold a caseload. – They will need to be a car owner/driver as will be required to see patients at home and in other community settings as well as the team base. They will also use virtual technology e.g. Zoom to conduct appointments – knowledge and skills related to Safeguarding Children will be required as they will need to participate in safeguarding meetings e.g. Child Protection and case conferences
