About the Role
This is new role and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Property Inspector to join our Responsive Repairs team diagnosing repairs for our own DLO and external contractors to carry out. You will have a full driving license and your own vehicle to cover mainly the Aylesbury Vale area and just outside carrying out various inspections/visits to properties owned by the Trust.
On the Job you will:
Carry out various inspections including both pre and post inspections of repairs, damp and mould inspections mutual exchange/termination inspections.
Liaise with residents, colleagues in other teams, DLO Operatives and external contractors.
Maintain electronic records and keep the Trusts records up to date.
Carry out visits as required related to complaints and disrepair claims.
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and is great at problem solving. Experience in social housing and damp and mould diagnosis would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a customer facing role and requires excellent communication and customer care skills with our residents. The ability to communicate technical and sometimes sensitive issues to our residents in a way they can understand is important.

The minimum qualifications/experience required are:
HNC/recognized qualification in construction or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Proficient in the use of various forms of IT.
Ability to plan and organize repairs and maintenance works /projects and deliver to budget and time constraints.
A systematic approach to problem solving by applying technical and operational skills and experience.
Understands the processes relating to property inspections, defect analysis, and specifying building repairs and refurbishments to industry standards including those related to Health & Safety and the Health and Safety At Work Act.
Pro-actively develops customer relationships by making efforts to listen to and understand the customer (both internal and external).
Demonstrates personal integrity. Shows consideration, concern and respect for other people, their opinions and individuality.
