Trade Compliance Manager

Working for an expanding aerospace organisation this role will take ownership of all trade related activities across a busy engineering function. The main bulk of the role will be to co-ordinate all import and export compliance programmes overseeing UK import control, ITAR, and export control regulations.

They currently export the majority of products to the US and Europe, and you will take full accountability for all import and export compliance. You will also manage a small team that will report to you directly and you will be responsible for growing this team in the near future.

You will come from an Aerospace background and be a subject matter expert on trade compliance (Import and export). Ideally, they are looking for someone with management experience and a good leader of people, but all experience levels will be considered.

This position will also take a secondary responsibility of supporting the risk management representative and you will receive training in this area.

Some day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Manage all export compliance across the business.
Managing all anti-corruption and crisis management issues across the business and ITAR.
Deploy the company trade compliance policy across all business units.
Provide guidance on a range of import and export projects ensuring appropriate training and education are provided to all parties involved.
Monitor the risk management process working closely with the senior leadership team within the business.
Due to the regulations, you will be involved with we are looking for candidates who have previously worked within the aerospace industry with a strong background in Trade compliance. Previous management experience of teams is desirable but not essential
