A large multi national corporation with a big presence based in the UK.
The site based in the Milton Keynes area is part of this large corporation has a friendly family feel.  We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design engineer on a contract basis to support our growing manufacturing site.
   
Supplying a demanding automotive business the contract Mechanical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to be a part of this new divisions continued growth and success by joining the business as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an exceptionally busy period.

The Contract Mechanical Design Engineer role:
– Mechanical design with a high degree of accuracy of output within given time lines.
– Design Mechanical assemblies utilising 3D software Creo
– Analysis of designs, including basic calculations surrounding tolerance, cost and weight.
– Continuously develop product and assemblies in order to remove problems as they arise either from production or customer requirements.
– Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver updates and make Mechanical Design recommendations.
– Preparation of documentation to ensure conformance with design verification standards.

The Contract Mechanical Engineer Candidate: 
– Solid understanding and experience of utilising 3D CAD system CREO.
– The Mechanical Design Engineer will have the ability to deliver innovative designs within defined functional constraints.  
– Ability to design and detail models for processes including: Sheet metal, Casting and Injection moulding.
– Any ability to use Creo Harnessing would be advantageous.

£26.21ph – £34.68ph

These rates are based on PAYE and umbrella.
