Health, Safety, and Environment Manager
Salary: Circa £43,000 plus attractive benefits package
Location: Home Counties (South Region)

Irwin & Colton have recently engaged with a one of the UK's leading technology suppliers to the media industry who are looking to bring onboard a Health, Safety, and Environment Manager a newly created role. The role will work closely with the Head of Facilities and key stakeholders across the business.

The company has a number of key warehouse facilities across the Home Counties providing a nationwide distribution network to their clients within the media space. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of new health and safety initiatives and projects for a company that places health, safety, and environment at the heart of their operations.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety, and Environment Manager include:

Working closely with the Head of Facilities on the health & Safety policies and procedures across the warehouse and distribution sites, office environment and engineers in the field, promoting a culture of best practice health and safety across the facilities
Support the development and continuous improvement of the ISO-management systems, seek opportunities to improve and enhance the overall Health and Safety strategy
Reviewing safety, health, and environmental performance, accurately reporting, and investigating incidents and near misses
Assist on the delivery of relevant management reports on health, safety, and facilities performance for the leadership teamThe successful Health, Safety, and Environment Manager will have:

Proven experience within the Health & Safety industry, ideally responsible across a mobile workforce or transport distribution environment
Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging key internal and external stakeholders
A NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum, with membership of a professional body (e.g., IOSH)
Ideally experience within ISO-management systemsThis position will require a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a wider team, lead with example and hit the ground running.
