The Role
As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading, developing, managing and motivating a multi-disciplined team of Account/Service Delivery Managers, Project Managers & Coordinators. You will be an inspirational leader and form part of the senior management team in ensuring the delivery of high quality services to all clients.
A critical role in relation to the implementation of the business plan, developing key strategic ideas, turning into measurable objectives to be met with efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
* The Head of Operations will be a member of the Celestra senior management team. They will contribute to decision making, management of risk and the implementation of strategy, also developing and implementing best practice across the business.
* The Head of Operations will have operational responsibility for all accounts and services provided within.
* The Head of Operations will bring leadership and management across all departments of the business. They will have a duty of care to the team and a responsibility for promoting best practice, throughout the business.
* The Head of Operations has a responsibility to work to achieve the vision for Celestra, aligned with the 5C values. This includes promoting a positive and empathetic culture of caring and empowerment.
* The Head of Operations will have overall operational responsibility for the ongoing development and delivery of the services offered by the business. This will include line management of the Account/Service Delivery Managers. Responsibility for ensuring that the levels and capacity of staffing is compliant with the current staffing requirements and is continuously reviewed and assessed in relation to the needs and risks of the business.
* Management of all aspects of the sales forecast for the team, including staffing, resources and costs associated with each client;
* Contribute and participate in review of the sales forecast with Head of Sales/Head of Finance.
* Ensuring professional good quality reports are provided to external stakeholders including the company scorecard.
* Represent Celestra positively and effectively at all external meetings;
* Contribute to building a positive reputation for Celestra with external stakeholders
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of Celestra, including active participation in the quality assurance and improvement framework;
* Complete audits of areas in practice, identify areas for improvement and lead change to implement improvement
* Provide vision, direction and a way forward for the business.
* Provide strong leadership and guidance in times of uncertainty.
* Create and communicate the strategic direction of your areas of responsibility, engage others and encourage participation at all levels across all departments
Experience & Skills
* Experience of leading a remote and office based team
* Proven experience of successfully managing a large multi-disciplined team
* Experience of evolving teams and breading a culture of development
* Experience and understanding of the importance of quality and standards,
* Substantial Hospitality IT Knowledge (e.g., EPoS and Wireless technologies)
* Can recognise and cultivate opportunities from a client
* Evidence of achievement within a commercial environment
* Results orientated
* Demonstrable Business & Financial acumen
