Role Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-respected organisation which has increased its turnover considerably in the last 2 years and has consistently paid company bonuses for over 24 years. The role will involve overall Engineering & Technical management of the section to enable works to be constructed to design & specification, ahead of programme, within budget and Safely. Direct functions pertain to Engineering and technical management, however, as a senior member of the operational team, positive contribution to overall performance is a pre-requisite – this will include necessary auxiliary functions within the team as allocated to fulfil the wider scope of HS&E, QA/QC, Programme management & cost management.
Key responsibilities
* Oversight and management of Section engineers & Trainee engineers
* Operation reporting into Site Agent
* Functional Reporting into Project Engineering & Digital Manager
* Co-ordination of technical issues within team, with counterpart in A section & with employer
* Co-ordination of setting out information within team
* Co-ordination of digital measurement and recording with team
* Collation and contribution of as built information
* Lead for quality & handover documentation for B Section
* Ensure works are carried out to design & specification – including compliance to ITP’s / ITC’s with recording thereof
* Co-ordination with Geotechnical team & testers to ensure progress of works and accurate materials movement records
* Positive involvement in all HS&E requirements, including auxiliary roles to enable works (TWC, BSC, etc) and contributing to the required documentations where necessary (ERA, WPP, TBS, PTD etc)
