Location Milton Keynes – WFH 3 days 2 days Office
Salary £40-50k plus bens
We are looking for a Web Developer to join a fast-growing ISP in Milton Keynes and now need to strengthen their development compacity with the addition of a Mid-Weight Web Developer ideally with RoR (Ruby on Rails). Whilst the new platform is ruby on Rails, we are keen to hear from candidates with PHP or Python with an interest in developing in Ruby on Rails as my client will train into RoR.
The Web Developer develops and deploys products and services that will both complement and enhance the current UI and internal systems. This will include both back-end and front-end development, although there would be a bias toward back end (RoR, PHP Python), as most of the systems involve data processing.
Development will primarily be with Ruby-on-Rails, although we would advocate researching and implementing the latest and best technology for the requirement.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have or be able to demonstrate: –
– Over 3-years' commercial experience with MVC server-side scripting (PHP, Ruby or Python)
– Have commercial experience in using front end frameworks (ReactJS, Angular)
– Previous experience and feel comfortable with implementing Object Oriented techniques
– Good MySQL / PostgreSQL knowledge – be able to construct efficient queries and schemas
– Understanding of TDD and be able to work in such a manner.
– Writing code that meets commercial quality standards
This is a great opportunity to join a Milton Keynes Company with a superb Developemtn environment with he opportunity to be cross trained in Ruby on Rails development. This role offers a hybrid working model of 3 days WFH and 2 days Office
