Peritus Healthcare is currently working with an established care home provider looking to recruit an RGN or RMN nurse.
The home provides a very high standard of quality nursing and dementia care for the elderly.
As nurse on duty you will provide support to all care staff and to assist the Unit Manager with managing the Unit when necessary.
You will provide high quality nursing care and to assist in identifying and addressing the health and social care needs of a wide variety of residents.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide a high standard of direct nursing care to residents.
2. Ensure that medicines are stored in compliance with the authoritative instruction.
3. Liaise with residents’ GPs and other healthcare professional such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, community nurses, etc.
4. Engage in person-centered nurse care planning and implementation of care plans.
5. Review care plans monthly or sooner when required.
6. Work within the NMC codes of conduct and Scope of Practice and within the home’s policies and procedures.
Skills:
• RGN or RMN with current NMC registration
• Experience of working within an elderly care setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately
