Our Milton Keynes-based client is looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join their team on a temp to perm basis.  The successful candidate will be a well organised technical person with experience in installing software solutions.

Position: Workshop Engineer

Hours: 9:00 – 5:30pm (37.5 hours with 1 hour for lunch)

Salary: £22 – 24k D.O.E

The job will involve…

Arranging timely delivery of kit
Undertaking stock control and tracking stock (booking in, moving, and updating stock on company stock system)
Sending emails and creating reports
Completing purchase orders
Ensuring a clean working environment
Assist with the configuration of new hardware on hot stage
Assist in updating handover documents for hot staging ensuring accuracy at all times
Provide support to the Helpdesk team with technical and software requirements
Any other duties which may required and deemed appropriate to the level of the role
 
The person must have…

Software and Hardware experience
Experience with working on EPOS hardware
A+ or networking qualification (desirable)
Problem solving / fault finding skills
Good organisation skills
Effective communication skills
Positive attitude
Reliable and proactive
The ability to work in a fast paced environment
