Fawkes and Reece have teamed up with one of the top tier one main contractors in UK looking for a well rounded Site Manager for their legacy works. The project is to manage and deliver safely, the removal and replacement of roof and gutter sections across five buildings, phased possession over 2-3 years.

The individual for this position should be used to working on a live estate and adapting to suit client plans and requirements. A knowledge of building and construction, particularly of large span industrial building, timber roofs and waterproofing systems would be an advantage. In particular, we are looking for experience and knowledge of bitumen felt and cold applied roofing membranes, timber construction and managing a team overnight however your normal working hours will be 08:30 – 17:30. The ideal Site manager will have a successful track record of safety management and delivering projects on time is also required.

The Works will largely be carried out overnight and the Site Manager will be expected to review progress and plan the next nights work in the day and relay plans with Night shift supervisor. The Site Manager will work with a small team, comprising night shift manager and a part time commercial manager. The role will also require reporting weekly on Safety, Progress, Quality, Sustainability and commercial considerations. It is important that the Client is kept fully briefed on progress and future plans and we are looking for a good planner and communicator, both written and orally.

The ideal candidate will be able to plan and arrange the Works, co-operate with the Client and his tenants and lead the project to completion, safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a tier one main contractor who can offer long term work
