Senior Buyer | £60,000 – £70,000 DOE + Car allowance + Bonus

I have an exciting opportunity for a national organisation that is looking for a Senior Buyer, it is a permanent role with flexible working and will be based in Milton Keynes!

As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for –

Ensure that labour and all material sub-contractors are hired according to the agreed-upon schedule and budget.

Ensure that tenders are checked and that they meet the site's parameters as well as current industry standards.

Ensure that all site procurement/buying phases are constantly reviewed against budget.

Process material orders and create precise site-specific material schedules.

Monitor price agreements on a regular basis to ensure that they stay competitive.

Monitor supplier performance on a regular basis and meet with key suppliers on a regular basis.

Supporting and Coaching team members.

Desirables –

CIPS/MCIPS
HNC/ONC
A Degree in construction or something similar

Salary is £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience plus car allowance and Bonus achievable after the probation period has ended.

There will be regular travel to site with the weekly schedule looking like, 2 days in office 2 days home working and 1 day for site visits.

The ideal profile will be someone who has 5+ years' experience in a senior buyer role within the developer or house building industries. Experience in managing a team and can coach and develop your team members. Someone who is happy to "get hands on and get their hands dirty"
