Ruby on Rails Developer – Milton Keynes/Remote UK – Salary to £50,000 plus Benefits

We are helping one of the world's most recognizable technology brands redefine how to business engage and connect with their customers. To keep them at the cutting edge they now need a web developer with PHP and/or Ruby on Rails to join their team in their growing Milton Keynes office. However, an ambitious mid-level developer would also be considered.

As a web developer with PHP and/or Ruby on Rails, you will be at the driving seat of all technical development. You will be responsible for turning their MVP into a shiny product that people will love using. As a web developer with PHP and/or Ruby on Rails, you will be fully hands on with complex back end code development. This is a rare opportunity so grab it now!

To be a successful web developer with PHP and/or Ruby on Rails, the ideal candidate will have:

Excellent hands on development experience in PHP (symfony or laravel preferred but open to others)
Ideally knowledge of Ruby or a willingness to cross train into Ruby on Rails
Strong knowledge of MySQL
Solid REST / AJAX API
Good javascript (jquery, knockout, angular)
Knowledge of responsive and adaptive designs (very much a nice to have)

Who are you and where will this role take you?

Ideally you will have experience of being hands on coding in PHP and/or Ruby but recognize that there is always something new to learn.
You will be passionate about the latest development trends, tools and techniques and probably play around with these in your spare time.
You are deeply passionate about PHP/Ruby development and see your role as a hobby you get paid for rather than "just a job".
