Pertemps Recruitment on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council has an opportunity for a Business Support Administrator in the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team. This is a temporary position at £10.49 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities
The role is to support the service, by organising paperwork, which includes New Referrals, Annual Reviews and finance paperwork. The post holder would have to update information on our internal data base and be open to offering suggestions for future change. The role is busy and fast paced, so we require someone with good administration and organisational skills
Maintaining diaries including using electronic systems
Dealing with and tracking incoming correspondence, emails, fax and telephone calls and respond to queries from internal and external customers
Arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes and distributing papers, as required
Maintaining and developing efficient office systems
Gathering, collating and chasing up information
Completing and processing paperwork and information using manual and computerised systems
Assisting in general office services such as post distribution, maintenance of stationery supplies, circulation of information etc
Essential Skills and Experience
Education to minimum GCSE/NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths, or equivalent
Ability to travel to other office locations across the county and sometimes out of county for work purposes (can include public transport) as and when directed
Relevant and practical experience acquired through a combination of training and on-the-job experience
Good knowledge of service provided in own area and relevant processes, systems, policies and procedures
Working knowledge of other areas of the authority relevant to the service
Budget monitoring/ financial processing at an appropriate level for the role
Good ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications and may include use of specialist systems
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and achieve deadlines
Numerate and accurate with attention to detail
