Rafah Recruitment is working with a client in the High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire area and we are looking to recruit Housekeepers, Care Assistants and Chefs. This is a temporary role based on shift work in residential homes.

Housekeeping role:

You need to be hardworking, enthusiastic and demonstrate excellent customer service. You will help to create a warm and homely environment. Keeping the residential home clean and safe is no small task.

What your typical day involves:

* Being responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, working closely with other housekeepers and maintenance staff.

* Always ensuring residents are happy. You will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the upkeep of all communal areas and bedrooms.

* Maintaining housekeeping stocks for day-to-day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go.

Qualifications and experience:

* Five GCSEs (grades A*- C), or equivalent. (Essential)

* British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) cleaning qualification (Desirable)

* Practical experience in a similar position. (Desirable)

Care Assistant role:

You need to be caring, patient and observant. You are responsible to assist others.

What your typical day involves:

* To provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities.

* To undertake the tasks detailed in the client's care and support plan.

* To encourage the independence of the client and not promote dependent behaviour.

Qualifications and experience:

* NVQ2 or 3 Health and Social Care. (Essential)

* Practical experience in a similar position. (Essential)

* Understanding of key legislation. (Essential)

* Basic IT skills. (Essential)

* Driving licence preferred. (Desirable)

Chef/Cook role:

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for residents in a care home and ensuring it is healthy and nutritious.

What your typical day involves:

* Maintain accurate food inventories.

* Creating a varied and traditional menu align with dietary needs and preferences.

* Ensuring that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitised at the end of each shift.

* Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications and experience:

* Five GCSEs (grades A*- C), or equivalent. (Essential)

* Proven experience working in the kitchen environment. (Essential)

* NVQ level 1/2 in Catering & Hospitality. (Desirable)
