About the role:
Assisting the 'hub' of our operation in all aspects of the day-to-day requirements of a busy Transport Office. This role will have a high level of contact with customers and therefore requires excellent communication skills.
Role Requirements:
Working with the Transport team to meet all administrative requirements.
Ensure all telephone calls are answered promptly and directed or dealt with in a timely manner.
Ensure all customer consignments are processed correctly and in line with customer requirements.
Make delivery bookings for all relevant customers.
Engage with traffic office staff in the planning of deliveries and collections.
Provide a high level of customer care at all times.
Communicate effectively with drivers, providing support as required.
The successful applicant will be a people person with a positive can-do attitude, a solid work ethic and a total focus on customer care. They will be self-motivated, have an excellent telephone manner and a willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.
Hours of work:
Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00hrs with 1 hour break, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 07:00-12:00hrs.
