The Role:
To maintain the Dreams IT Infrastructure in a secure and controlled manner. Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support in all areas of the business. Involvement in project work to enhance IT or business functionality
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the existing infrastructure, including cloud technologies and SaaS.
* Manage IT systems, performing maintenance and ongoing housekeeping activities such as backups, system monitoring, software updates, system clean up and housekeeping tasks, security activities, test system builds.
* Implementation and review of established and emerging technologies
* Manage technologies in Dreams` retail/ecomm stack, including Cloudflare CDN/WAF/DNS, SAP Commerce Cloud (Kibana/Dynatrace), Sophos NAT/NLB, NAV WebServices, Hyper-V clusters
* Liaise with 3rd parties over issue investigations and testing during systems implementation.
* Maintain the security of the Dreams systems and networks within company guidelines and any legal requirements such as PCI and Data protection.
* Adherence and promotion of the Dreams IT change control processes.
* Installation and support of all IT hardware and software as required.
* Perform 2nd and 3rd line IT support activities, logging all calls within the IT Service Desk system and covering the Service Desk when required.
* Involvement in projects which will entail managing projects, providing project plans, technical input/solutions and producing regular updates.
* Involvement in building and maintaining relationships between Dreams and its 3rd party suppliers.
Skills, Experience and Attributes Required:
* Minimum of 2 years proven experience within an IT environment, ideally within a fast-paced retail/ multi-site/ FMCG space.
* Understanding IT Infrastructure concepts used in dispersed organizations, such as IP networking, AD, DNS, NLB, content filtering, network diversity.
* Familiarity of IT hardware such as routers, physical and virtual server environments.
* Familiarity with web technologies such as ASP, Tomcat, Solr
* Understanding the needs of secure IT environments, backup and patch processes and change control process.
* Awareness of ITIL principles and best practice and the continuous improvement cycle.
* IT professional qualifications desirable (i.e. CCNA, Degree, Microsoft (MCSE))
* Ability and confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
* Excellent telephone manner and verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to explain technical subjects in a manner suitable to the audience involved
