IT Infrastructure Project Engineer
Location – Remote based / Bucks
Salary – up to £42,000 + car allowance
Permanent Vacancy

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Infrastructure Project Engineer to join a rapidly growing IT Services and Solutions business.

This position will form a key part of the businesses Infrastructure team, being responsible for the implementation and field support of various technology projects for their external clients.

The role will offer a mixture of client site and remote based work, so being able to drive is a necessity for this position.

Further responsibilities within the role will include;

* Installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of infrastructure and systems.

* Play a key part in new and ongoing project activities, primarily across the Microsoft Suite.

* Work across technologies in key areas which include; Microsoft Server, Cloud (Azure& 365), Virtualization (VMware), networking, firewalls and backup technologies.

* Ensure all projects are delivered and installed within the timescales set.

* Where required, provide 3rd line technical support to any onsite issues.

* Carrying out site surveys and creating technical documentation.

* Where required, to take lead with various ongoing project related work.

* To liaise with first- and second-line teams an ensure communication of issues affecting the service are timely, both to our customers and internal management.

* Optional – to provide out of hours technical support on-call service.

Experience required:

* Previous hands-on implementation and high-level support of solutions and projects across Microsoft Server, Cloud (Azure& 365), Virtualization (VMware), networking, firewalls and backup technologies.

* Previous experience working within IT Managed Services is essential.

* Full UK driving licence

* Remote role, working in the clients Bucks offcies 1-2 days per week.

* It would be desirable to have relevant certifications, however this is not required.
