Quality & Compliance Engineer, High Wycombe, £45,000pa plus benefits:

A leading high-tech manufacturer is looking to recruit a Quality & Compliance Engineer. This is an incredibly exciting time for the Quality & Compliance Engineer to join their business, as they are going through a period of growth. The Quality & Compliance Engineer role is newly created reporting into the Head of Quality & Compliance, you will work across the organisation to deliver internal ISO9001 quality auditing and product compliance.

On a day-to-day basis Quality & Compliance Engineer will:

Work with the Head of Quality, Process Improvement Manager, and process owners in the development of a prioritised schedule of process review activities
Develop an appreciation of processes as defined in the current ERP and related management systems
Collaborate with process owners to undertake a detailed review of documented processes and create draft documentation for review and approval by the process owner.
Engage and support the deployment of the ISO Internal Audit programme
Following update ensure related activities e.g., Internal audit programme is updated accordingly.
Where appropriate, use a combination of process knowledge and the needs of ISO 9001/45001 & 14001 to identify and propose opportunities for improvement.
Monitor changes in Product related environmental legislation e.g.: RoHS & REACh and drive related activities that will ensure timely compliance to those requirements. Ideal candidate:

The successful Quality & Compliance Engineer will have demonstrable experience in Quality and product compliance role. You will be experienced in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), other key experience and skills include:

Experience in a Quality / Product compliance environment
Experienced Internal Auditor
Awareness of Environmental and Safety Management (OHSAS)
Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical engineering background ideally qualified to HNC level as a minimum Knowledge of problem-solving tools
Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) ideally with Internal Audit experience
Must possess the ability to interpret, documented processes.
Experience in Product compliance management & legislation – especially related to environmental compliance e.g.: RoHS, REACh, WEEE etc. This role has working from home available, although you will be expected to spend the first two or three weeks full time from their High Wycombe offices, then working two or three days from home each week.
