Do you come from a quality background, working with a Quality Management System environment as a Quality Engineer? You could have experience from the manufacturing or engineering sector and have knowledge of ISO9001. You’ll work with everyone from Formula 1 clients to the Defence sector overseeing our entire QMS function for our flagship Letchworth site.
BASIC SALARY: up to £32,000

From Formula 1 and Defence clients to lifesaving medical devices and cutting edge scientific instruments, your role as Quality Engineer is vital to our continued success.
We’re a world leading surface and heat treatment solutions group and with a global presence and local family feel.
You’ll be making sure that the QMS (Quality Management Systems) across our entire Letchworth operation, is up to date, effective and well implemented.
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll support our production teams, our customers and our lab staff, carrying out:
· Root cause analysis.
· Internal quality audits – using FMAE and 8D to highlight continual improvement needs.
· Lab and site testing – from equipment calibrations to the support of the lab team themselves.
· Reviews to ensure we achieve our QMS (Quality Management Systems) Accreditations – ISO 9001, etc.
As a Quality Engineer you MUST be educated to degree level as well as:
· Have experience / deep knowledge of the maintenance and review of ISO9001 based QMS and some form of recognised qualification in system auditing (you might have AS9100 / ISO-TS 16949 experience).
· Be able to interpret engineering specifications, drawings and standards so that you can create local procedures and train others.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
You’ll also be fantastic at working in a team environment and enjoy getting involved in new challenges.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets and worked with the following products and/or services: Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Quality Control, Production Manager, Test & Inspection, Works Manager, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence, Rail, Oil & Gas, Tool & Die, Construction, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Engineering.
