A Finance Manager in Milton Keynes Head Office is required for an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract heading up the financial accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across the business. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance teams within this which comprise of at the moment a team of 11 and the day to day operational activities of the finance function, implementing processes and controls to ensure robust financial performance of the team and the business, producing timely and accurate financial information and ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory regulations at all times.
General overview of tasks will involve;
Management of Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions (total 11 staff, 4 Direct reports)
Preparation of monthly Group reporting package and management accounts
Management and reporting of UK cash pool
Balance sheet ownership, reviews and reconciliations
Capital Expenditure and Fixed Asset reporting
Cost centre review and reporting with a degree of Business Partnering
Processing of general ledger transactions
Preparation of monthly Group reporting package for all UK companies
Preparation of statutory accounts for all UK companies including lead of annual audit process
Preparation of tax pack for preparation of Corporation tax return
Preparation of VAT returns and other UK tax reporting
Ensure business continuity
Experience & Skills Required
Professional Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA)
Previous experience of working and managing Accounting teams
Experience in building materials, plant, manufacturing or similar industry (preferable)
Experienced managing stakeholder relationships
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all teams, areas and levels including non-financial staff members
Experience using SAP, ideally SAP S4/HANA
Autonomous, entrepreneurial mind-set and result oriented
Ability to interface with strong communication skills – verbal & written
Resilient and able to work to strict deadlines
Attention to detail
